Bob Blumenfield

for LA City CounciL

Dear friends,

As many of you already know, I believe in problem-solving, and tackling the most complex problems head-on. Some people – including my friends in the Valley and even foes downtown – chide me about my focus on details. But I take great pride in immersing myself and my team in the very serious challenges we are facing, because we can’t solve problems if we do not understand them nor the complexity of the solutions. Perhaps that annoys the City Hall crowd, but I’m responsible to the people to do what’s right even if it’s not easy. And that commonly involves difficult decisions that cannot possibly make everybody happy.

That is also how we make progress as our City is faced with crisis on top of crisis. These challenges are why I choose public service – and why I’m running for re-election to represent the 3rd Council District in the West San Fernando Valley.

I’m proud of what we have accomplished together, and the role I have played challenging City Hall to deliver results addressing the most pressing issues. Whether helping my constituents emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic, improving an infrastructure neglected by City Hall, addressing homelessness with innovative short and long term strategies, catalyzing economic development projects in underserved areas, or reimagining public safety, I dig in every day to meet the Valley’s needs, and think outside the box to make city government more responsive and responsible to the people it serves.

I choose public service and community – and am dedicated to it deep in my heart. While the work is difficult there is no greater privilege and honor than to serve the people of Los Angeles and the Valley.

That is why I’m seeking re-election – and why I’d be honored to earn your support.

Thank you,

Bob Blumenfield
